Each report contains the findings of final assessment study with questionnaire survey and focus group interviews to assess the updated level of age-friendliness and identify changes / improvements as well as areas for enhancing the age-friendliness for each district.
(Remark: Final assessments of 8 districts (namely Central & Western, Islands, Kowloon City, Kwun Tong, Sha Tin, Tai Po, Tsuen Wan and Wan Chai) under the pilot phase of Jockey Club Age-friendly City Project were conducted in 2018, while those of 10 districts (namely Eastern, Kwai Tsing, North, Sai Kung, Sham Shui Po, Southern, Tuen Mun, Wong Tai Sin, Yau Tsim Mong and Yuen Long) under the second phase were taken place in 2021).

Each report highlights the current situations of age-friendliness of the domain and its age-friendly policies and measures in Hong Kong, and proposes recommendations to the Government and other relevant parties taking account of the final assessment findings on age-friendliness.

Based on the baseline assessment findings on age-friendliness, four gerontology research institutes of local universities worked with the 18 District Councils to develop a three-year action plan for each district, which sets out directions and action items for enhancing the age-friendliness.

]]> Reports on “Hong Kong Elder Quality of Life Index” and “AgeWatch Index for Hong Kong” https://jcafc-port.hk/en/afc-resource-hub/reports-on-hong-kong-elder-quality-of-life-index-and-agewatch-index-for-hong-kong/ Tue, 09 Nov 2021 04:51:02 +0000 http://jcafc-port.hk/?post_type=afc_resource_hub&p=1690 The “AgeWatch Index for Hong Kong” was developed since 2014 and subsequently extended to “Hong Kong Elder Quality of Life Index” to assess the elderly well-being in a comprehensive manner with locally significant indicators covering four domains, including Income Security, Health Status, Capability, and Enabling Environment, which can serve as a useful reference on policy planning of age-friendly interventions in Hong Kong. A total of six Index reports and four Topical reports were produced.
