\n Curating Homes <\/h3>\n

After five years of comprehensive research, the Jockey Club Institute of Ageing at the Chinese University of Hong Kong has developed the “Curating Home”. This guidebook consolidates principles of home-based elderly care with ideal architectural planning standards. The Institute\u2019s “iHealth Screen” app is also featured within the guide as a model example of integrated care services, offering 12 early health screening assessments related to aging to promote health management among older adults.<\/span>

The Guidelines aim to raise awareness among designers and project proponents on how design decisions can contribute to the building of an elderly-friendly environment that supports active ageing. The design recommendations in the Guidelines serve as reference for the industry to help enhance the quality of life of the elderly in the communities.<\/span>
